Pat Robertson: God told me of ‘mass killing’ in 2007

During a recent prayer retreat Pat Robertson said God told him about an impending tragedy that would happen in America sometime after September. I guess God wasn’t too sure when he might allow this retribution, I say retribution because that is inevitably what it will be as it was broadcast by God’s self professed harbinger of doom Pat Robertson. Robertson has been known for explaining Gods retributive nature. Robertson once claimed that God punished former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians.

If we had to rank those that see God as the big meanie Mr Robertson would be right up the top but not as high as our friend Fred Phelps.
The main reason I don’t believe Pat Robertson, is not because I lack trust in his predictions (but I do), but that he claims to have heard it from God.. I believe that God talks to prophets as there are many examples of such communications in all faiths, but If God chose a prophet for this age why would he choose an idiot like Pat Robertson?

Robertson said “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.”
So since I do not trust that God spoke to Pat Robertson what do I make of this prediction? It is the rambling of a paranoid fanatic. The more Pat spouts this nonsense the less people will listen. He is just making it harder for any true prophet that might arise. If he really believes in retribution he better watch his words.

GOD will get you for this Pat !

  1. You are absolutely ‘spot on’, bill. There is a least one village in the southeast section of the US missing it’s assigned idiot.

The perennieal embarassment to Christianity that is “Pat Robertson” just keeps spouting off ‘churchy’ talk as if he actually possessed reason, logic and sense. He’s way short on all three, and muddies up Christians’ reputations to the rest of the world by overloading his voice box with Diarrhea of the mind.

“Pay no attention to man behind the curtain, bill, he can’t help making a fool of himself”.
