There was a debate in Canada’s Senate yesterday on the so called erosion of Freedom of speech in Canada based on a poorly thought out motion. The Senate rose to the occasion and spoke what every Canadian is aware of , Freedom of Speech in Canada has never eclipsed the rights of others. The honorable Nancy Ruth said it best when she “agree[d] with Catherine MacKinnon (famous American legal scholar)when she asserts that pornography, racial and sexual harassment and hate speech are acts of intimidation, subordination, discrimination and sometimes even terrorism. Assaults with words, injuries from words can be as damaging as assaults with fists or weapons.”
There is nothing honourable about free speech when it shouts the words nigger or Fag.

Just because we are allowed to have free speech does not mean there is no limit to that. I agree with this.
